  The San Mateo DMV customer's service is the absolute worst. I waited 5 hours just to renew my car registration. The worst part is I misplaced my house keys, and had to return to the san mateo field office to retrace my steps. These guys had the audacity to lock the doors, and refused to open the doors. I knocked on the door multiple times to ask for assistance, and they looked me dead in my face and said no. I understand they weren't taking anymore customers, but damn would it have been too much for someone to open the door to let me look for my keys. Now, I have to rent a room because these guys chose to be total jerks and waste my time. I'll be back tomorrow for sure. If I could rate them negative stars I definitely would. Standing outside the dmv while they deliberately ignored me was beyond humiliating. I hope no one ever experiences something like that. I will definitely be filing a complaint.

  If you don’t have an appointment, there will be a billion people in line. If you have an appointment, which usually will arrange months after, there will be only a million people in line. Don’t even think about get things done in 3 hours. I bet DMV is the most inefficient government department in US
